Namibia offers epic road trips, desert wildlife, ancient culture and vast landscapes, making every journey an unforgettable adventure.
Namibia is a vast country and an ‘ageless land’, visible through its heritage of rock art created by stone-age artists and geological attractions such as the petrified forest, where fossilised tree trunks have lain for over 280 million years. Added to the space and silence, these contribute to a feeling of iniquity, tranquillity, and wilderness. The journey begins in Windhoek, where you collect your vehicle and head north to Okonjima Nature Reserve for an introduction to Namibia’s wildlife and conservation efforts. From there, travel to Etosha’s eastern and central regions for superb game viewing around iconic waterholes and the vast Etosha Pan. Continue into dramatic Damaraland, home to desert-adapted wildlife, ancient rock art and striking mountain landscapes. The route then meets the Atlantic coast at Swakopmund for seaside relaxation and adventure. Finally, venture into the Namib Desert to explore Sossusvlei’s towering red dunes, Dead Vlei and Sesriem Canyon, before returning to Windhoek through scenic highlands.
